ROTARY Annual Conference – Mosselbay 2024
Some of our Rotary Club of Hermanus team managed to get time out and attend the Annual Discon conference and had an awesome time meeting other Rotarians.
They have returned feeling fully charged up and more inspired to go out and find ways to serve our community.

Christmas in July Party
Gift of soup mixes donated to the Soup Kitchens
What a great time of fun, celebrating Christmas in July.
Most importantly Christmas is a time for giving. This year we all bought soup mix packets and fresh vegetables which were gifted to our community.
Potjiekos Competition
The men decided to prove what wonderful chefs they can be with a wonderful social potjiekos competition between these four – Mark (Rustic Lamb), Carl (Lamb Curry), Ian (Pork and Dumplings), and Barry (Lamb Pot) and Barry was the only one using a 3 legged Potjie Pot so he thought he should win just on that aspect.
Rotary Friendship Visit
Rotarians from New Zealand
We had a fabulous 4 days of hosting our New Zealand Rotarians, showing them all the wonderful sights of Hermanus and managed to get in a couple of our current key projects.

Volmoed Youth Drummers
Volmoed Youth Drummers visited us at our Rotary Meeting with Rev Arrison, They told us about all the wonderful work they are doing in the community and gave us a short demonstration of their drumming as well.
Really so encouraging to hear the youth talk with such passion about helping others!
They have developed a new way of turning pallets into amazing drums with fabulous sound and ways of tuning the sound on the drums.
Bowls Fundraiser
We held two Bowls events, one as a fundraiser and one for fun.
Golf Day Fundraiser
In July a very successful Golf Day fundraiser was held at the Hermanus Golf Club
