Ferdi Marais Community Vision Project. A 3-Phase Project roll-out, working in partnership with the Eye Clinic at Hermanus Provincial Hospital to meet some of the vision needs of our greater Hermanus community.
- Handover of 194 pairs of readers valued at approx. R17,500
- Completion of 60 Cataract operations, costing R156,000
- Rotarians will be assisting the eye clinic with the running of community screening days within 2025
- Further Cataract operations being planned
This ambitious vision project is in honour of the late Ferdi Marais, a highly respected Rotarian dedicated to health.
